Plan the garment. Refine the result.
A well-prepared embroidery project connects artwork, material and production. Use this guide to organise the information your digitizer and decorator need before committing to a run.
Start with the item being decorated
Describe the garment construction and where the design will sit. Seams, pockets, cap panels and stretch can all influence the usable area and the way your decorator approaches the job.
Set a realistic visual target
A stitched mark has texture and physical thread thickness. Compare the proposed size with the smallest lettering and narrowest shapes, then agree which details matter most to the identity.
Make colour instructions specific
Supply thread references if you have them, together with garment colour and any approved brand values. Screen colours are only a visual guide; your decorator should confirm the available thread match.
Approve a representative sample
Review a sew-out made on the intended material. Check legibility, coverage and positioning before authorising a production run with your garment supplier.
